Barnett Park Soccer Field Improvements
CPWG was contracted by Orange County to upgrade and expand the soccer facilities in Barnett Park. The project included new fields, new Musco lighting, updated trail system, new road, new parking, new sewer utilities including a grinder pump and new restroom facilities.
The CPWG design team focused on low impact design and innovative stormwater design so that construction would have the least effect possible on the native ecology of Barnett Park. Our Team prepared and reviewed all bidding documents and specifications for the project. Our staff was also contracted to assist the County with bid solicitation, response to bidder questions.
CPWG Construction Management professionals provided construction administration services, site inspections, utility company coordination, site meeting attendance and review of shop drawings. Our team coordinated meetings with permit agencies. Permits obtained included St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP) stormwater permit, Orange County Building Department Permit package, Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) potable water and wastewater permit package, and the City of Orlando.

CPWG Engineers prepared the construction plans necessary to complete the soccer field. CPWG designed and permitted the utilities required for the MUSCO lighting system, restroom building and wastewater grind pump. Submittals were at the 60%, 90%, 100% and final levels of completion. Members of the CPWG Construction Management team attended construction phase meetings as requested by County staff. They also reviewed RFI’s and RFP’s as required. Our team developed a production schedule in MS Project. To help stay on schedule the team reviewed and approved construction submittals. At the end of the project, our team completed the required Close-Out Documents
