Gulf Boulevard Median Landscape Design
Madeira Beach, FL
CPWG Landscape Architects used their skills to create a Gulf Boulevard Median Landscape and Irrigation design that was both beautiful and sustainable. The City of Madeira Beach contracted CPWG Engineering to create a new landscaping design for newly constructed Gulf Boulevard medians design new landscaping elements for the newly-constructed medians and existing landscape islands along S.R. 699. CPWG performed a preliminary investigation, reviewed the city’s drawings, prepared preliminary conceptual plans, and submitted these plans to the City and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) staff. Upon receiving comments and approval, CPWG prepared landscape and irrigation construction plans for the project.
Plans incorporated applicable requirements listed in the FDOT district seven landscape, irrigation, maintenance, and erosion control plans preparation checklists and other applicable FDOT safety, setback and plans preparation criteria. The plans identified all plant material, placement, spacing, quantities, notes, and details required to construct the design. These also showed the integration of existing and proposed plant materials in previously planted landscape medians. Additionally, CPWG prepared irrigation plans for all new medians. These plans identified all piping, irrigation heads, valves, controllers, and other appliances necessary for installation and proper functioning of the design.
