CR 455 Roadway Improvements

Lake County, FL

Lake County engaged CPWG to add a signalized intersection, mill and resurface CR 455 approach to the bridge abutment and add a new northbound right turn lane on CR 455 northeast of Clermont. The project included new concrete strain pole box span traffic signal, new northbound right turn lane, signing and pavement marking, structural engineering, geotechnical & subsurface utility investigation (SUE), public involvement, construction involvement, a project maintained web page and permitting necessary to meet Federal Requirements for Local Agency Plans (LAP) Funding. AutoCad designed plans were submitted at 30%, 60%, 90%, 100% and Final Phases as outlined in the Lake County Requirements.  CPWG also provided structural analysis for the signal poles in accordance with the latest FDOT Design Standards.

To keep the public informed of any issues associated with the project, the CPWG team scheduled, conducted and presented power point presentations during public meetings.  Our team compiled comments, prepared responses, revised mail‐out lists, and completed mail‐out notifications. CPWG created a web page for the project initiation and updated the web page with continuous changes, public involvement, and construction activities until the project was closed out.

CPWG Engineers developed a set of construction plans that met the Federal Requirements for the LAP Funding. All designs were in accordance with FDOT and Lake County standards and manuals. Our team delivered the following plan pages:
